Five Guys just opened its first location on the Las Vegas Strip, and this isn't your typical fast-casual burger joint. The 10,000-square-foot "flagship" in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian comes with something no other Five Guys has: a walk-up bar serving beer, wine, cocktails, and—wait for it—alcoholic milkshakes.

Because of course Vegas would figure out how to add booze to a Five Guys.

The Quick Hit

  • What happened: Five Guys opened a mega-location with a bar at the Venetian
  • The damage: 10,000 square feet, walk-up bar, boozy shakes
  • Why you should care: It's the only Five Guys on earth where you can get drunk and eat fries
  • The move: After a long session at the Venetian's poker room, this might be the move

What Makes This One Different

Every Five Guys you've ever been to serves the same burgers, the same Cajun fries, the same free peanuts. This one does all that, plus alcohol.

The bar is walk-up style, so you're not getting table service or anything fancy. But you can grab a beer while waiting for your burger. You can get a cocktail to wash down those fries. And apparently, you can get a milkshake with alcohol in it, which feels like something Vegas invented specifically for tourists who are already three drinks deep from the casino floor.

The Grand Canal Shoppes location puts Five Guys right in the middle of one of the Strip's busiest pedestrian zones. If you've ever walked through the Venetian's shopping area, you know it's always packed. Now there's a place to grab a quick burger without wandering into a sit-down restaurant.

Vegas Restaurant News Roundup

This isn't the only new food spot hitting Vegas this month. The Cosmopolitan just opened "The Corner Store" on January 20—a cocktails and snacks destination that's part of the resort's ongoing updates.

Caesars Palace unveiled new villas on January 17. And of course, the Vanderpump Hotel transformation of the Cromwell is still underway, expected to fully complete in early 2026.

Vegas continues to churn through restaurant concepts at an absurd pace. Something new opens every week. Something else closes. The cycle never stops.

The Bigger Picture

Five Guys opening a flagship location with a bar is peak Las Vegas. Take something ordinary, add alcohol, make it bigger, and put it somewhere tourists can't miss it. It's the entire Strip business model in miniature.

Whether this becomes a massive hit or just another spot that tourists stumble into once remains to be seen. But hey, if you're at the Venetian, you could do worse than a bacon cheeseburger and a boozy milkshake.

The Bottom Line

Five Guys with a bar. On the Strip. In 2026.

The future is weird and I'm here for it. Next time you're grinding the Venetian's DeepStack Showdown poker series, you know where to grab dinner.

Cheers.
