Fresh off a career-best WPT finish, Becker takes down the $1,100 UltimateStack at the Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza.

When you're running good, you're running good. Jeremy Becker just proved that poker heaters are very real things.
Becker took down the $1,100 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em UltimateStack at The Venetian's DeepStack Extravaganza, pocketing $71,805 and adding another trophy to what's becoming a ridiculous run.
The Quick Hit
- What happened: Jeremy Becker wins Venetian UltimateStack, 406 entrants
- The damage: $71,805 first place, $389,760 total prize pool
- Why you should care: This dude just finished 5th in the WPT World Championship
- The move: Tail Becker's action if you see him at your table (just kidding, run)
From WPT Glory to Venetian Victory
Here's the context that makes this win even more absurd: Becker was fresh off a fifth-place finish in the $10,400 buy-in WPT World Championship at the Wynn. That cash? A career-best $710,000.
Most players would take a break after a score like that. Maybe decompress, book a vacation, do whatever normal people do with $710K. Not Becker. He walked into the Venetian and said "let's run it back."
The UltimateStack drew 406 runners, crushing its $300,000 guarantee and generating a $389,760 prize pool. Becker navigated through the field and eventually found himself heads-up against Kfir Nahum, who took home $51,322 for second.
The Venetian DeepStack Grind Continues
The DeepStack Extravaganza runs through January 19th with over $1.6 million in guaranteed prize pools. If you're looking to get in on the action, there's still plenty of time—and based on these fields, plenty of dead money floating around.
This series has always been a favorite for the grinder crowd. Buy-ins are reasonable, structures are solid, and The Venetian poker room remains one of the best in Vegas. It's the kind of spot where a hot run can completely change your year.
Speaking of Vegas poker, the WSOP Circuit kicked off at Planet Hollywood on New Year's Day, so there's no shortage of tournament action if you're making the trip.
What's Next For Becker
With nearly $800,000 in cashes over the past few weeks, Becker's bankroll is looking healthy. The question now is whether he keeps grinding the mid-stakes circuit or takes a shot at some bigger buy-in events.
Given how he's running, I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the next major. When the deck is hitting you like this, you press your edge.
The Bottom Line
Jeremy Becker is on one of those heaters that makes the rest of us question our life choices. A career-best WPT score followed immediately by a Venetian title? That's the kind of run you tell your grandkids about. Congrats to Becker, and if you see him at a table, maybe just find a different one.
