Big NBA slate tonight with some marquee matchups to sweat. The Knicks head to Phoenix, the Bucks visit the Lakers, and there are at least three or four other games worth watching if you've got action on them.

Let's break down tonight's best spots.

The Quick Hit

  • Featured game: New York Knicks at Phoenix Suns (9 PM ET)
  • Line: Knicks -1.5 | O/U: 230.5
  • Also notable: Milwaukee Bucks at Los Angeles Lakers
  • Full slate: 12 games tonight

Knicks at Suns (-1.5, 230.5)

This is the game everyone's watching. The Knicks (24-13) are one of the best teams in the East. The Suns (22-15) are riding a four-game home winning streak.

Why the Knicks cover:

  • Road dogs? Not really — they're laying 1.5 points
  • Jalen Brunson averaging 29.1 PPG and playing like an All-Star
  • Karl-Anthony Towns gives them the size to match Phoenix
  • 14-6 at home, but 10-7 on the road isn't bad either

Why the Suns cover:

  • Four-game home winning streak
  • Phoenix has covered in five of their last seven at home
  • Kevin Durant and Devin Booker at full strength
  • The Knicks have covered only four times in 17 road games

The sharp play here is Phoenix +1.5. The Knicks have been profitable on the year, but they're not great ATS on the road. Home dogs in this spot tend to outperform.

The total: 230.5 is massive, but both teams can score. Brunson vs. Booker. KAT vs. whoever Phoenix throws at him. This has shootout potential. Lean over.

Bucks at Lakers

No official line at press time, but early projections had the Lakers favored by a few points at home.

Milwaukee is scuffling. The Bucks have talent but haven't been consistent. Giannis and Dame are still figuring out the chemistry after two years, and the supporting cast has been inconsistent.

The Lakers, meanwhile, are doing Lakers things. Anthony Davis is dominant when healthy. LeBron is still LeBron. Austin Reaves has become a legitimate third option.

If you're betting this game, wait for the line to settle. Early sharp money will move it before tip.

Other Games to Watch

Sacramento Kings at Golden State Warriors

The model loves Kings +13.5 if the line stays there. That's a huge spread for a Sacramento team that can score with anyone.

New Orleans Pelicans at Washington Wizards

Zion is back and the Pelicans are trying to climb out of the Western Conference basement. The Wizards are just bad. Pelicans moneyline is the play.

Season Trends

ATS trends worth knowing:

  • Home underdogs are covering at 53.7% this season
  • Road favorites laying 3+ points are just 48.2% ATS
  • Overs have hit 51.8% league-wide, but unders have been money in East vs. East games

The Pistons are still the best ATS story of the season. The Cavs continue to underperform against the spread despite their record. Look for spots where public perception lags reality.

Props Worth Considering

Jalen Brunson over 28.5 points (-115): He's been automatic. Hit this in four of his last five.

Devin Booker over 5.5 assists (+100): Booker has been facilitating more lately. Good value at plus money.

Anthony Davis over 11.5 rebounds (-120): Standard AD prop. He's a monster on the glass.

The Bottom Line

Twelve NBA games tonight means plenty of opportunities to find value — or plenty of ways to light money on fire. The Knicks-Suns game is the headliner, but don't sleep on the afternoon and early evening games.

Suns +1.5 at home is the sharp play. The over in Phoenix is risky but fun. Lakers probably cover against a struggling Bucks team, but wait for the line.

Good luck out there, degenerates. See you at the window.
