Featured Games

Detroit Pistons (-6) vs Denver Nuggets

Time: 7:30 PM ET | Total: 227.5

The Pistons just set a franchise record with a 53-point demolition of the Nets. Now they host a Nuggets team riding a six-game road win streak but dealing with inconsistency.

Detroit is 36-12 and playing their best basketball of the season. Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren are both All-Stars. The home crowd will be electric after last night's historic win.

The Nuggets counter with Nikola Jokic, who can single-handedly keep any game close. But Denver's defense has been suspect on the road, and they're 5-6 ATS in their last 11 as underdogs.

The lean: Pistons -6. Momentum matters, and Detroit has all of it.

Boston Celtics (-5) vs Dallas Mavericks

Time: 8:30 PM ET | Total: 221.5

The Celtics (31-18) travel to Dallas to face a Mavericks team that's been a disaster. Dallas is 19-30 and has lost three straight at home.

Boston's issue is effort in these "trap" games against bad teams. But the Mavs are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 overall, which is interesting for a team with such a bad record. They're playing hard, just not winning.

The lean: Under 221.5. Dallas games have gone under in 4 of their last 6, and Boston can grind when they need to.

Los Angeles Lakers (-6.5) vs Brooklyn Nets

Time: 7:30 PM ET | Total: 227

The Lakers (29-18) catch the Nets on the second night of a back-to-back after Brooklyn got obliterated by 53 in Detroit. Brutal scheduling for Brooklyn.

The Nets are 13-34 and playing out the string. This is a professional tanking operation. The Lakers should handle business, but 6.5 is a lot of points against a team that has nothing to play for but lottery positioning.

The lean: Lakers ML if you want to avoid the sweat. Brooklyn could keep it closer than expected just by effort.

Other Games to Watch

Miami Heat (-4.5) vs Atlanta Hawks | Total: 239.5 Heat at home against a Hawks team they've owned recently. Miami is 27-24 and playing meaningful basketball. Atlanta is 24-27 and fading.

Phoenix Suns (-4.5) at Portland Trail Blazers | Total: 218.5 Portland is on a five-game losing streak. The Suns are 30-19 and looking to build momentum before the All-Star break.

Chicago Bulls at Milwaukee Bucks (-4.5) | Total: 233 The Bucks are 18-28 and arguably the biggest disappointment in the NBA. They're favored at home, but can you trust them against anyone?

Utah Jazz at Indiana Pacers (-3) | Total: 241.5 Battle of bad teams. The total is the play here—both of these defenses are sieves.

Philadelphia 76ers at Golden State Warriors (-2.5) | Total: 225.5 Embiid's status matters here. If he plays, the Sixers have value as short road underdogs. If he sits, fade Philly.

The Bottom Line

The Pistons are the story of the day. After their December surge and last night's historic win, they're the hottest team in the East and hosting a vulnerable Nuggets squad.

Celtics-Mavs under looks solid. Lakers should cover but the line is juicy. And if you're feeling frisky, the Bucks being 4.5-point home favorites against anyone feels like a fade opportunity.

Eight games. Plenty of action. Let's eat.
